Source Packager News

Upgraded to version 1.2.1.4. Removed bulk features and reduced interface complexity by reverting back to build 2 and expanding from there. The main thing about this tool that hindered it was it's failure to handle multi directory projects well. It could only output to a single directory. This is now fixed. Source Packager now
works on the concept of a base project directory. All the source files must reside in this base directory and will be treated as their path relative to it. This allows maintaining multi directory structure when outputting.

Upgraded to a new version. Project's web page updated to the new layout. Version 1.1.2.3 improves layout with tabs and an intuitive step based implied interface approach. Adds custom formatted date and time replacements. Fully implemented file listing. Specify a post-export command list for compression and checksumming commands.

Fixes and improvement, looking much nicer. I fixed most of the main problems. I added a directory browser, and fixed the project's file name caption. Added a Save As, re-enabled the scroll bars on the header/footer box, and adjusted the layout a little bit. I didn't get a date/time replacement in yet, but I don't see any major bugs and it's functional, so I'm going to call it non beta. Oops. File list delete buttons still not functional.

This project is still pretty fresh, but the basic functionality seems to work. A few features are lacking and there may be some bugs to be found yet. Only the Add button works on the file lists (will be fixed later). The project name doesn't get updated, so its stuck at '<None>' for now. Selecting an output directory must be done by hand, I haven't put together a directory selecting dialog yet. It seems a formatted date and possibly time replacement is needed. In the future, a compression library could be used to ZIP the output, or maybe just execute a script afterwards, where one could script in the production of a checksum file and then use their own compression commands.
